The love of photography and capturing images and events in all forms is the driving force behind Boston-based Joe Allen Photography. Joe strives to create a story within his photographs. A freelance photographer, Joe photographs Sports, Musicians, Events, Wildlife, Landscapes and Everyday Life.
ABOUT
Joe Allen Photography was established in 2015. The first photos I took weren't very good. I have improved steadily over the last five years to the point where I am now being hired by media outlets, magazines, school districts, community groups and private clients. I love to photograph people, places and events that interest me. Though my favorite photographs are of Sports, Musicians, Events, Landscapes/City Scenes and Wildlife - I enjoy photographing pretty much everything that I see!

I am a freelance photography who takes assignments from media outlets, magazines, school districts, community organizations and private clients.
SPORTS, MUSIC & EVENTS
My favorite sport to photograph is Basketball! I also enjoy photographing all other sports including, Baseball, Football, Soccer, Track and Field, Swimming. I have photographed NCAA Basketball Games, high school athletic events for the Boston Public School System and various youth, high school and college level sports tournaments.

My favorite music is Jazz! I have been fortunate to photograph great Jazz Musicians and Festivals (Newport, Boston, Berklee Beantown, NYC Winter JazzFest, Cambridge, New Bedford) and Shows for Jazz Times Magazine.
I also photograph various events including the recent social justice protests in the Boston area.
LANDSCAPE, SEASCAPES, NATURE
I am a longtime backpacker, hiker and walker. I enjoy being out and about with my cameras and multiple lenses to photograph landscapes, seascapes, wildlife and nature scenes. My photos try to depict the beauty and perspective of nature, landscapes, cityscapes, seascapes. As you see from my images I love photographing wildlife.
